About GEHU
Graphic Era Hill University (GEHU) was founded in 2011 under the Graphic Era Educational Society (GEES), a non-profit organization established in 1993. GEES began as Graphic Era Institute of Technology — the first self-financed engineering institute in North India — under the vision of Founder-President Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala, who started with just ₹29,000 and built one of India's most respected educational groups. GEHU has three self-contained campuses at Dehradun (Bell Road, Clement Town), Bhimtal (Kumaon foothills), and Haldwani (Bareilly Road). The Dehradun campus is centrally located — bordered by Rajaji National Park on one side and Clement Town Cantonment on the other — just 5 minutes from ISBT Dehradun, 20 minutes from the Railway Station, and 1 hour from Dehradun Airport. The university offers 50+ courses across Engineering, Management, Commerce, Computer Application, Law, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Design, Media & Mass Communication, Fine Arts, Animation, and Allied Sciences. GEHU has 20+ international university tie-ups offering 3+1+1, 3+1, 2+2, and 1+1 global programs. GEHU admissions 2026 are strictly based on merit of the qualifying examination. The entire admission process is available online at apply.gehu.ac.in. GEHU also conducts GECET (Graphic Era Common Entrance Test) for scholarship-based admissions. Ph.D admissions open for July 2026 batch.
